The Process
Digital Design
This is the most critical and time consuming part of the project. We must manually create bridges and cut paths for every letter and detail. This technical prep work ensures that the metal stays connected and structurally sound while keeping the design as true to your original image as possible.
CNC Plasma Cutting
We use a CNC plasma table to execute the digital design with pinpoint accuracy. The computer controlled torch follows the programmed path to cut through heavy 12 gauge steel with consistent precision. This technology allows us to repeat complex patterns and sharp angles perfectly. It ensures that every piece of art is cut to the exact specifications of the original file.
Handcrafted Fabrication
The work continues at the bench as we grind every edge smooth by hand to remove any rough spots from the cut. We then weld our custom 1.0 inch hanging brackets directly to the back of the steel. This manual process ensures your art is incredibly sturdy and sits perfectly offset from the wall to create the bold shadows that define our style.
Professional Powder Coating
The final stage involves an electrostatic application where charged powder particles are sprayed onto the grounded steel. We then bake the piece in a high temperature oven to cure the finish. This thermal bonding creates a hard and non porous skin that is significantly more durable than liquid paint. The result is a professional look that resists chipping and corrosion even in the harshest outdoor conditions.
